· Jeans, street clothes or outer clothing ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY CLASS. Proper dance shoes must be worn on dance floors (dancing in stocking feet is strictly prohibited). Jewelry is NOT TO BE WORN. Gum, food, and/or drinks ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIOS.
· Every female student, 1st grade and older, MUST own & wear a BLACK LEOTARD (sleeveless or short sleeved) as part of their dress attire.
Preschool (Ballet Intro Combo Classes ~ ballet & tap) Any color leotard and tights; pink ballet shoes. Boys wear black sweat pants and white t-shirts; black ballet shoes. (Boys & girls also need black tap shoes) girls hair must always be pinned back and up away from the face. PLEASE NOTE that dresses, skirts and tutus are not allowed in preschool dance classes.
Ballet (kindergarten through adult): Black leotards; white or light pink tights and pink ballet shoes; a ballet skirt is also appropriate; girls hair must always be pinned back and up away from the face. Bun is preferred. Upper level ballet classes require bun & hairnet. Boys/Men wear black sweats or jazz pants, white t-shirts and black ballet shoes.
Tap: Black leotards and white or light pink tights OR black leotard and black jazz pants; black tap shoes. Dance shorts are acceptable as long as they are worn over leotards/tights. No high-heeled tap shoes; hair must always be pinned back or in ponytail. .Men/Boys wear black sweat pants or black jazz pants and t-shirts, black tap oxfords.
Jazz: Black Leotards and white or pink tights or black jazz pants; black jazz or black ballet shoes are required. NO JAZZ SNEAKERS. hair must always be pinned back or in ponytail
Modern: Same as Jazz except no dance shoes used.
Hip-Hop: Black Leotards, black jazz pants; black jazz sneaker shoes and t-shirt. Hair must always be pinned back or in ponytail. Men/Boys wear black sweat pants or black jazz pants, black jazz sneaker shoes and t-shirts. NO JEANS; NO GYM SHOES.
Irish Step: Shorts, T-shirt, ballet shoes, (black is preferred) with socks.
