Jay
Fagan
(Tap,
Jazz)
a nationally and internationally recognized tap Master, professional
dance choreographer, and former co-director of Especially Tap
Chicago (ETC), most recently performed in “Lasting
Impressions with Bill Acosta” in Las Vegas & Canada, and is
also associated with CNADM, Chicago Dance Connection, and
StarQuest.
Kim
Sagami
(Ballet),
performed with the Joffrey Ballet for over 14 years, was the
assistant ballet mistress for the children’s cast of the Joffrey
Nutcracker. In addition to the Joffrey, she spent 2
years with ABT II and toured with the Phantom of the Opera
national touring company.
Jean
Hartnett
(Jazz),
begins her 8th season with the Studio and celebrates her 24 years of
dance studies which includes industrial, commercial, and
choreography projects.
Connie Fagan
(Tap,
Jazz & Lyrical),
a member of performance Company Same Planet, Different World
former member of Instruments of Movements and Rhythm ISS,
an all-female tap ensemble, she currently dances with Jay Fagan in
Sibling Rivalry, begins her 4th season with the studio.
Karen Currin
(Ballet & Jazz),
trained at Salt Creek Ballet. She’s a graduate of the
University of Iowa and a former company member of Chicago-based
modern company ~ Melissa Thodos Dancers.
Nicole Bishop
(Tap,
Ballet)
is fully certified by Dance Masters of America, degreed from
U of I and has been dancing, teaching & choreographing for
over 20 years! Additionally, she is the Artistic Director of The
Dance Workshop Dance Company.
Jason Powell
(Hip Hop, Jazz) received his initial dance training in Jazz &
Hip Hop from the Gus Giordano studio. Most recently he was Captain
of the DePaul Spirit team and created choreography for the
DePaul Dance Team in addition to working with Energy
Productions as choreographer, instructor, and MC.
Kate Rowan
(Ballet & Jazz), has trained with Salt Creek Ballet, Homer
Bryant, and the Pineapple Studio in London. She has
performed in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Coppelia.
Courtney Smith
(Modern, Ballet, Tap),
brings over fifteen years of dance study, choreography and
performances, and a BFA in Dance from the University of
Illinois. .
Lauren (Faye) Cruse
,
(Irish
Step)
brings us the non-competitive side of Irish Step-Dance. She
has attended certified schools in the Chicago area alongside taking
workshops with nationally and internationally acclaimed Irish
dancers. Ms. Faye has worked as a counselor for Camp Rince Ceol,
an Irish Dance and Music Camp that is under the direction of former
members of Riverdance. She is the co-founder of the
Joliet Junior College Irish Dancers & co-founder of the
Trialta Irish Dance Company;
Christa
Rivera
(Intro I & II) is currently attending Columbia College as a
dance major. She is a 17 year student of dance and begins her 2nd
year at the studio;
Brittany Balayti
(Intro II)
is a 14 year student of dance and most recently completed her 2-year
assistant instructor training in addition to attending various dance
workshops in jazz, tap, and ballet. |
