Jay Fagan
(Tap)
is a nationally and
internationally recognized tap Master,
professional dance choreographer, and former co-director of
Especially Tap Chicago (ETC). Jay has performed all over the
world, and is most recently performed with his sister Connie
Fagan in Sibling Rivalry. He spent the 2008-2009
academic year on staff at Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma
City, OK teaching tap, jazz, and musical theater.
Jessie Cosentino
(hip-hop, dance camps)
has in-depth dance training from Lou Conte, Gus Giordano,
Dance Beat, River North & The Edge, is a member of
Hip Hop Connxion and a recent graduate of Western Michigan
University with a degree in dance.
Alicia Triantafilis,
(Modern,Pomdance),
has been associated with the studio
for over 20 years, is a recent graduate from Columbia College,
having majored in Fine Arts/Dance. In addition to her
dance degree, she was a team member of Sandburg’s EAGLETTES
and Orchesis.
Caitlin Gudat
(Ballet, Jazz)
dance education includes a BFA in Modern and Jazz
Dance from Point Park University, Dance Masters of
America Teacher’s Training, and The Dance Company in
Indianapolis. Her performance background includes Classical
Tap in 3 Movements (Paul Draper) and Buff Loves Basie
Suite (Brenda Buffalino/Andrea Goodman).
Christa Rivera
(Intro I & II – combo classes)
is currently attending Columbia College as a dance major. She
is a 18 year student of dance and begins her 3rd year at the
studio.
Connie Fagan
(Jazz & Lyrical),
a member of performance Company Same Planet, Different World
former member of Instruments of Movements and
Rhythm ISS, an all-female tap ensemble, she currently dances
with Jay Fagan in Sibling Rivalry, begins her 5th season
with the studio.
Maia Wilkins
(Ballet)
joined The Joffrey Ballet in 1991 after dancing as
a member of Joffrey II and attending The
Joffrey School on scholarship. She was born and raised
in Truckee, California, began her dance training in tap, and
then the opportunity to study ballet came when she was eleven.
Ms. Wilkins received her formative training under Maggie
Banks at the Nevada Festival Ballet School,
She has also studied with Stanley Holden in Los Angeles,
the School of American Ballet, Dame Margot
Fonteyn, Luigi and Tina Bernal in New York. Ms.
Wilkins had the honor of having Gerald Arpino create Ruth:
Ricordi per Due on her and Willy Shives. Other
principle roles with The Joffrey Ballet include:
Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet (Juliet);
Nijinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps (the chosen one);
Ashton’s Cinderella (Cinderella); Graham’s
Appalachian Spring (The Bride); Kylian’s Return to
a Strange Land; Tudor’s Lilac Garden (Carolyn);
Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky’s Pas de Deux and
Tarantella; and Robert Joffrey’s Astarte.
Ms. Wilkins received the Ruth Page Dance Achievement Award
in 1999 for her artistry and in 2001 for the role of Kate
in Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew. She has been
one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch.” In 2002 the
Chicago Tribune named her one of the top ten artists in
Chicago. In 2006, along with Gerald Arpino, Ms. Wilkins was
named one of the Chicagoans of the year. Ms. Wilkins can be
seen in the feature films Save the Last
Dance and Altman’s The Company.
Aundrea Parsons
(Hip Hop)
a graduate of Illinois State University, has been involved in
HipHop dance for the past four years both as performer,
choreographer, and instructor. While at Illinois State
University, she was a member of the Noir Dance Troupe, producing
a number of dance routines for the company. She is also working
with Energy Productions doing DJ and Dance Entertainment for
corporate and social affairs.
Zoe Kohlhagen
(Intro, Tap,
Ballet) has a Bachelor of Arts-Musical Theatre from North
Central College. She has trained in tap, ballet, lyrical, hip
hop, and modern through North Central, Lou Conte studio,
American Dance Center, and La Danse Academy
Jean Hartnett
(Jazz),
begins her 9th season with the Studio and celebrates her 25
years of dance studies which includes industrial, commercial,
and choreography projects.
Kate Rowan
(Ballet & Jazz),
has trained with Salt Creek Ballet, Homer Bryant, and the
Pineapple Studio in London. She has performed in Swan
Lake, The Nutcracker, and Coppelia.
Kelly Rowe
(Tap, Jazz, Ballet, HipHop),
a native “south-sider” with a BFA in Musical Theater,
brings in-depth dance training and choreography in all of the
dance disciplines. She has choreography and instruction
experience with St. Xavier University as well as a
five-year seasonal member/teacher of the 99th
Street Summer Theater in Chicago.
Lauren Vollinger
(Intro II-combo class)
is a 14 year student of dance and most recently completed her
2-year assistant instructor training in addition to attending
various dance workshops in jazz, tap, and ballet.
Martin "Tre" Dumas III
(Tap)
is a native of Chicago. He has been tap
dancing since the age of 8. He has
studied under and/or shared the stage with Savion Glover,
Diane "Lady Di" Walker, Robert Reed, Van
"The Man" Porter, Bril Barrett and
Chicago's own Tommy Sutton, among others. His performance
credits include a national touring revival of Broadway's "The
Tap Dance Kid" and a feature and lead tapper in the "Riverdance,
The Show." "Tre" has taught master classes nationally and
internationally and has been on staff at Mayfair, Gus
Giordano Dance Center and The Fieldcrest
School of Performing Arts.
Nicole
Bishop
(Tap, Ballet)
is fully certified by Dance Masters of America, degreed
from U of I and has been dancing, teaching &
choreographing for over 20 years! Additionally, she is the
Artistic Director of The Dance Workshop Dance Company.
